Welcome to Val Pontirone. The refuge, located at an altitude of 1,811 m.s.m. on a panoramic terrace overlooking the Pontirone Valley with its Piz Strega, Giumella and Bidensc, is located at the foot of the Giumella pass, from where you can reach the Calanca Valley. Renovated and inaugurated in 2011, the refuge, unguarded, has 8 beds. There is the possibility of cooking via a gas stove. The hut has a wood-burning stove and lighting is provided by solar panels.
