Solstein-Haus

The Solsteinhaus sits at 1,805 m on the Erlsattel, idyllically nestled between the Großer Solstein and the Erlspitze. The hut sleeps around 85 guests in room dormitories and smaller dorms and is usually open from about 20 May to mid-October. With two cosy dining rooms, a multi-purpose room and a drying room, the Solsteinhaus offers a high level of comfort; the modern, spacious washrooms add to a pleasant stay. As a stage stop on the Karwendel Höhenweg and the Adlerweg, the hut is an ideal base for alpine undertakings. The surroundings offer a wide range of tours — from climbing gardens and via ferratas to moderate and demanding mountain tours. Thanks to its location and facilities, the Solsteinhaus is excellent for training courses, school camps, family holidays, and youth and education programmes.
