Vioz "Mantova"

Welcome to the booking page for Rifugio Vioz! The refuge, the highest in the Eastern Alps, is situated on a small rocky plateau at 3,535 meters, at the foot of the ridge leading to the panoramic summit of Mount Vioz, within the Stelvio National Park, in the Ortles-Cevedale group in the upper Val di Peio. The Casanova family has been managing the refuge for over 60 years and welcomes all mountaineers arriving at the Vioz in search of peace and serenity. The refuge can be reached via trail no. 105, starting from Rifugio Doss dei Gembri, with a hiking time of about 3 hours. An alternative, more technical mountaineering route starts from Pejo3000 and takes about 2 hours. The refuge offers 57 beds arranged in shared rooms with communal bathrooms on each floor. We are open from Saturday, June 20th, to Sunday, September 13th, 2026.
