🏔 SIEGERLANDHÜTTE – 2,710 m Our hut was built in 1928/1929 at the very end of the Windach Valley and was officially inaugurated in 1930. Situated at 2,710 metres above sea level, right at the foot of the highest peaks of the Stubai Alps, it offers breathtaking views across the valley and the surrounding 3,000-metre summits. Over the decades, the Siegerlandhütte has been renovated and structurally expanded several times. Today, as a Category 1 mountain hut with a total of 58 beds, it provides a stay that is both cosy and comfortable. 📅 SEASON Late June to early September 🥾 APPROACH • From Sölden via Gasthaus Fiegl: approx. 5 hours • You can take the hiking bus to Gasthaus Fiegl (information: https://www.oetztaler.at/linienverkehr/fahrplaene-sommer/54b-wanderbus-windach/ ) 🍽 CATERING Our kitchen offers something for everyone: classic hut dishes such as dumplings in many variations, hearty Tyrolean snacks, as well as fresh or homemade cakes. In the evening, we treat our guests to a changing four-course menu each day. You will find matching drinks on our extensive bar menu. In the morning, we serve a breakfast buffet with hot drinks. Upon request, we are happy to prepare a packed lunch for your onward hike. We place great value on regional, high-quality ingredients and therefore work with local partners.
