High above the village of Randa, the Domhütte stands at 2,940 meters, serving as an ideal starting point for climbing the Dom, the highest mountain entirely located in Switzerland. But it's not just mountaineers who enjoy this place! Alpine hikers can also expect an unforgettable adventure. The ascent from Randa leads over the impressive Charles Kuonen suspension bridge, which at 494 meters is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the Alps. Following this, there's a challenging, blue-and-white marked alpine hiking trail (T4), secured with ropes, offering spectacular views. The Domhütte is staffed during summer season from late June to mid-September, offering a warm atmosphere amidst the majestic mountain world. A visit well worth it!
