Erlanger Hütte

Online reservations can be made until 6:00 pm on the day before arrival at the latest. For later reservations, call us directly at the hut. We do not keep a waiting list! Card payment is not possible — all costs (food, drinks and overnight stays) must be paid in cash on site. Our Erlanger Hütte stands in the front Ötztal at 2,550 m, just below the romantically situated Wettersee lake. Its original charm captivates hikers and invites you to linger. In the immediate vicinity are the nearly 3,000 m Wildgrat with a well-signposted hiking trail, and further secondary summits that experienced hikers can reach across trackless, blocky terrain. The magnificent Wettersee, its crystal-clear water and the mountains reflected in it radiate great calm. Facilities: high-alpine hut at 2,550 m in the Ötztal Alps (DAV category 1); wardened from the end of June to mid-September; 48 sleeping places in twin rooms, multi-bed rooms and mattress dormitories; cosy dining room with around 50 seats; sun terrace; annex usable as a seminar room; winter room accessible year-round. Regional, fresh cuisine: member of "So schmecken die Berge". Sustainable energy and wastewater: awarded the Tyrolean environmental seal "Wirtschaften mit der Natur" (since 1996) and the Alpine associations' environmental seal of quality (since 2000). Location: northern Geigenkamm ridge between the front Ötztal and the Pitztal, next to the imposing 2,971 m Wildgrat, reached by a well-signposted mountain trail. In our local working area we maintain almost 70 km of mountain trails.
